All's Not Well (?) # 3

In a July 16, 2010 article in the San Bernardino Sentinel (p.1) "Former Sheriff Gary Penrod accumulated compromising information and materials pertaining to district attorney Mike Ramos which was then utilized to blackmail Ramos and head off an incipient effort by the district attorney’s office to file criminal charges against Penrod pertaining to a host of criminal acts the sheriff was himself involved in". Its an interesting read of maybe why Penrod quietly exits stage left (or in this county exits stage right) and Ramos' ineffectiveness in getting political corruption convictions (e.g. the Rex Guttierrez case??). Sounds like the Sheriff's office (which is now headed up by Hoops) suppressed the record to help Ramos get re-elected? My o my ! The article contains much much more. The website is www.sbcsentinel.com
